It's not about a bunny - but The Lamb

It wasn't a bunny that died for me

That day long ago on Calvary

It wasn't a chick all fluffy and sweet

That the people mocked and the soldiers beat

And the chocolate eggs piled in a bowl

Did not save my guilty soul

It was no bonnet that day worn

On the head of a man bloody and torn

It was The Lamb who suffered and cried

'Father forgive' before He died

It was The Lamb who paid for my sin

So I could get close to God again

And from deaths hold He broke the cord

No ordinary lamb

But

The Lamb of God.
