I remember it well, that autumn day

The world unsuspecting of what was to come

The passengers on planes taking off the runways

Never again to see home

For the visitors and workers in towers so tall

Another work day to plan

But high in the sky the planes of death

Their decent to oblivion began

I remember the numbness as I watched tv

Saw the people trapped who would die

And as the towers came tumbling down

My tears as the world cried ‘WHY?’

Each year we remember the thousands who died

But who had the victory as the free world cried

As mankind thinks of more ways to maim and kill

The Lord takes note and is waiting still

2Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise,

as some understand slowness.

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish,

but everyone to come to repentance.
